Shell Hungary’s management has been renewed

Shell Hungary zRt. has introduced a significantly renewed board of directors and management, which began its work on October 1, 2025. With the organizational transformation, the company, which has a hundred-year presence in Hungary, aims to give new impetus to its domestic operations, building strongly on the values ​​that have been considered decisive in Shell’s life and that were also followed by the previous management team, such as community building, sustainability and innovation.

Changes in the board of directors

According to Shell’s previous announcement, the company’s chairman of the board of directors is Gyula Marik, who joined the company in 2001 and has gained experience in regional and management roles over the past two decades. In addition to his new role, Gyula Marik will also retain his position as Director of Fuel Procurement for Central and Eastern Europe.

Dr. Zoltán Füzes and Zsolt Volyánszki have joined the board.

Márta Bocsi has been appointed to the company’s senior management as Director of the Fuel Logistics Business Unit for Central and Eastern Europe. She has been working for Shell since 2003, where she has proven her leadership skills in several business units. Her work is characterized by trust-based, humane leadership, and she is convinced that positive motivation plays a key role in long-term business success.

The Director of the Retail Business Unit, Dr. Zoltán Füzes is also a new member of the board. Zoltán has a degree in economics and law and has been working at Shell Hungary since 2002. In recent years, he has managed several international campaigns as a regional marketing manager, his responsibilities included increasing the penetration of premium fuel in the region, and he participated in the creation and global launch of Shell’s first renewable fuel, Renewable Diesel.

Zsolt Volyánszki will lead Shell’s Hungarian and Romanian B2B fuel card business, which is a strategically important area of ​​the company, from March 2025. In addition to managing the business, Zsolt now also represents this key area as a member of the board, which plays a significant role in the company’s regional growth. Zsolt joined Shell in 2005 and has also worked as a regional marketing and sales manager in recent years.

Dr. Zsuzsanna Károlyi, who has been on the board since 2016, continues to be a member of the board. She leads legal projects spanning several European countries within the Downstream business unit, which focuses on serving end users, and which aim at commercial business development and decarbonization.

Csaba Fekete, CFO for the Central and Eastern Europe region, also retained his board membership. Csaba has been with Shell for 27 years and is committed to sustainable financial solutions. As a dedicated leader, he pays special attention to financial stability, transparent operations and team development.

The new Hungarian management

In addition to the members of the board of directors, the Shell Hungary management team (Country Coordination Team, CCT) is made up of other managers from other areas that play a key role in the company’s domestic operations. The managers of human resources, legal, and communication and government relations are decisive for the future of Shell Hungary at both a strategic and operational level, and their work ensures that the company’s values ​​and objectives are also implemented in everyday operations.

Monika Petényi was appointed as the Head of Human Resources for Hungary and Slovenia as of 1 November 2025, becoming a new member of the Shell Hungary management team. In recent years, she has worked as a training consultant for the global lubricants business, where she also contributed to leadership development at an international level. Monika has been with Shell since 1995, and her leadership approach is defined by growth, collaboration and a people-centric approach.

The CCT is also joined by Dr. Lilla Tokaji, the company’s Senior Legal Counsel for Hungary and Romania, who has been with Shell since 2001. She has extensive experience in corporate law and is primarily responsible for developing the legal strategy related to operations in Hungary and ensuring the legal compliance of key business projects.

The CCT is further strengthened by Alexandra Fehér, Head of Corporate Relations, who joined the Shell Hungary team in 2021. Her responsibilities include managing the company’s external and internal communications, as well as building and coordinating international and government relations at a strategic level. Under Alexandra’s leadership, Shell is being implemented.
