Summer break is paradise for children, while for parents it is often a complex task that requires serious organization. While the little ones enjoy their vacation, adults often have a serious headache about who will look after them while they work.

According to a recent survey conducted by REGIO JÁTÉK, almost half of parents struggle with organizing childcare, while barely a third of them can expect meaningful support from their employer, for example in the form of flexible working hours or extra leave. K&H Bank is currently helping employees with young children in several ways, for example, it has completely renovated its child-friendly office in its Budapest headquarters, which is now even more suitable for being a playroom for children and a peaceful workplace for parents.

The child-friendly office has been available at K&H since 2013. The concept is that parents who cannot otherwise arrange for their children to be supervised during the day are given the opportunity to spend the day together at their workplace, in an exciting yet family-friendly environment for the children. While the parent works, the child can occupy themselves with indoor games. The office underwent a complete transformation in the spring of 2025, as it received a new, specially designed indoor playhouse. In the playful, colorful and friendly space, children can play to their heart’s content, while mom or dad does their work at a professional workstation.

“However, this development is not unique to K&H, but part of a conscious strategy. The goal is not only to enable employees to work efficiently, but also to experience being part of a team where mutual support, team spirit and human aspects are paramount. The child-friendly office reflects this ethos and sends a clear message: here you don’t have to choose between career and family,”

emphasized Leila Medvey, HR Director at K&H.
