(HU) Megújuló energiával készített alkoholmentes sört a Carlsberg Svédországban
Carlsberg Sweden has launched a limited-edition, alcohol-free beer that is produced and distributed using 100% renewable energy.
Carlsberg has expanded its partnership with freight technology company Einride for the ‘Electric Beer’ campaign, showcasing the integration of Einride’s AI-powered technology into Carlsberg Sweden’s freight operations.
By the end of this year, it is anticipated that Einride’s system will support 35%–40 % of Carlsberg Sweden’s freight in the southern and western regions.
The so called Electric Beer is alcohol-free and features a QR code that provides access to detailed data on both its brewing process and the transportation routes used within Sweden.
The campaign spotlights a designated route between Malmö, Falkenberg and Gothenburg, allowing users to review information on energy consumption, battery life, cargo weight and route planning.
Emission Reduction Targets
The alcohol-free beer is produced using 100% renewable energy, while autonomous and electric systems, such as conveyor belts, forklifts, and packing robots, are employed in packing and moving the product.
Einride’s electric fleets, which operate with zero tailpipe emissions, are designed to reduce noise pollution by 50% and eliminate 100% of NO emissions (a group of nitrogen oxides, with NO and NO2 being the most common and impactful ones in terms of air quality) compared to conventional diesel operations.
Linnéa Kornehed Falck, founder and deputy-CEO of Einride, stated, “Carlsberg has a legacy in brewing excellence, and now they are pushing that legacy forward with advanced freight technology.
“This is not just about sustainability; it is about pushing the boundaries of freight technology, where electric is a step forward in redefining how goods are moved.”
Peter Hammarstedt, managing director at Carlsberg Sweden, commented, “We hope this will spark interest in the importance of sustainable and smart logistics – and inspire others to take action in their own industries.”
Sustainability Initiatives
Since 2022, Einride, in partnership with Carlsberg Sweden, has saved more than 418 tonnes of CO₂ emissions and has logged 340,000 fully-electric kilometres, which is equivalent to over eight trips around the world.
The Electric Beer campaign marks a new milestone in the collaboration, with the second deployment currently underway across Sweden.
The expanded operations aim to save up to 2,460 tonnes of CO₂ emissions per year over the coming years by integrating an AI-driven operating system that manages vehicles and charging infrastructure.
