Ambev Partners With Lemon Energia For Renewable Energy Project
Ambev, a subsidiary of AB InBev, has entered into a partnership with Lemon Energia for a project that aims to supply renewable energy to small and medium-sized businesses in Brazil at affordable rates. The project will be supported by Ambev’s tech hub, Z-Tech.
The brewer and its partner will provide renewable energy to more than 50,000 small shops, bars and restaurants across the country until 2023.
In this period, participating companies are likely to achieve energy cost reduction amounting to around R$150 million ( €22.9 million) and cut CO2 emissions by 810,000 tonnes, according to estimates from Lemon Energia.
