Trans-Sped’s fleet is renewed
A total of 37 DAF XF and XG 480 trucks arrived in Trans-Sped’s truck fleet in 2022 as part of the replacement of obsolete trains. In this way, the company’s drivers can do their work in a new work environment with even more modern equipment.
When rejuvenating the truck fleet, Trans-Sped placed great emphasis on sustainability in addition to technological conditions, and in addition, comfortable and safe transportation received special attention. In 2022, 25 XF 480 and 12 XG 480 trucks arrived at the company. The new-generation cars have a larger sleeping cabin and a more spacious passenger space, which enable drivers performing international and domestic transport to rest more comfortably. They are also equipped with the most modern equipment. Since the current vehicle fleet consists of 230 young vehicles with an average age of no more than one and a half years and Euro 6 environmental protection class vehicles, they kept these features in mind for the new vehicles entering the fleet as well.
During its operation, Trans-Sped pays special attention to the issue of sustainable development and environmental protection, in addition to providing its clients with full and impeccable service. That is why they consciously strive to introduce more environmentally sustainable solutions in their logistics processes.
In the past period, developments were launched in many other areas for the sake of environmental sustainability
● A comprehensive energy efficiency program was launched in the warehouse operations, where LED lighting and heat pump heating are used in the heated warehouses.
● Where conditions permit, gas-powered vehicles have been replaced by electric forklifts,
● From 2021, under the name Trans-Sped ZERO, it started delivery without single-use packaging in Budapest and Pest County, which is now also available in the Tata and Szolnok regions.
● With solar parks planned on the roofs of the warehouses, part of the used fossil energy is planned to be replaced in the future.
At Trans-Sped, not only the equipment park, but also the continuous development of logistics processes and the increase of efficiency are of prime importance, and the human factor is also not neglected. – In addition to the continuous updating of the equipment park, we pay a lot of attention to the continuous training and development of our colleagues, since one of the important factors in the case of road transport is the driving technique of the drivers. In addition to reducing fuel consumption, an optimal driving style is also key to mitigating environmental impacts and logistics costs, and it also results in safer traffic. – said Csaba Tóth, transport director of Trans-Sped Kft.
