The BMI index increased in January
The value of the purchasing manager index increased by 3.3 percentage points to 54.2 points in January, compared to the previous month's 50.9 points – the Hungarian Logistics, Purchasing and Inventory Association (HALPIM) announced on Monday.
This year's index is higher than the 53.4-point average of the past three years and it is the sixth highest rate since 1995.
The majority of the surveyed sub-indices increased compared to December. The employment index was again over 50.0 points in January, which, moreover, the highest rate since January 1995. The values of the last year indicate growth except teh May data. (MTI)
