The rate of childhood obesity stopped in Hungary

Due to various legislative changes and professional cooperation, the proportion of overweight people among Hungarian children was halted – the Minister of State, responsible for Health told at a professional conference in Budapest.

Horváth Ildikó said that for example with the introduction of everyday physical education, the canteen reform of public catering many things were changed that have positive effects already.

The Minister of State explained at the conference of the Nutrition, Lifestyle and Exercise Platform that the Hungarian children are moving more than their European counterparts, and comparing the data for 2010 and 2016 shows that the rate of childhood obesity has stopped in Hungary. (MTI)
