The European Commission terminated the infringement proceedings in the case of excise duty on pálinka
The European Commission terminated the infringement proceeding that was launched in the case of excise duty on pálinka – the press service of the EU commission announced on Thursday.
According to the communication, the committee closed the infringement proceedings after found the legislation in line with the EU rules.
According to the Hungarian legislation in force 700 HUF excise tax should be paid after the cooking of a liter of pálinka, which corresponds to a reduced excise duty rates set out in EU legislation. (MTI)
