The EU decision on food labeling was born
The Hungarian Presidency agreed with the European Parliament and the European Commission about the reform of food labeling – reported Reuters.
Under the new rules, the energy, the salt, sugar, protein, carbohydrate and fat content and saturated fat content informations should be indicated on food packagings. The country of origin in case of pork, beef, lamb, goat meat and poultry will also be mandatory as well – reports Világgazdaság Online, after Reuters.
