Adding carbon monoxide to meat packages devices congressmen in the US
Last week there were several scandals in the US, a few days ago 500 tons of meat must be recalled because of e-coli.
Meat manufacturers has used a process to keep meat look fresh longer with
carbon monoxide. Some want the practice banned. Lawmakers in congressional hearings
this week are debating whether the producers should be allowed to continue the
process in the United States. While the Food and Drug Administration has said
the practice isn't dangerous, some consumers disagree.
