The Dow AgroSciences opened its plant breeding station in Szeged
The U.S. Dow AgroSciences inagurated its new new plant-breeding station in Szeged; the new center was established from about 600 million HUF with 50 percent EU fundings – was said at Tuesday's inauguration ceremony in the Logistics Park near the city.
Mayor Botka László (MSZP) at the event, said that the company created 21 new jobs in the city's industrial park, with the investtment. Now nearly 630 people are working at the Logistics Park.
Erdei Imre, managing director of Dow AgroSciences Hungary Kft. told that his colleagues will deal with basic research and development in Szeged, concentrating on maize and sunflowers. (MTI)
