Amazon to open first Scottish Clicks & Mortar store this weekend
Amazon has revealed it is close to opening the first ever Scottish Clicks and Mortar store in Waverley Mall, Edinburgh.
This weekend will see the tech giant launch the pop-up store on Scottish grounds, as part of a UK-wide pilot launched in conjunction with business support organisation Enterprise Nation.
The pop-up will offer smaller ecommmerce platforms a two-week opportunity to meet customers and promote their brand.
The store opening is part of Amazon’s programme to incorporate a total of 100 small online businesses across its 10 Clicks and Mortar stores.
It revealed earlier in the year that it would launch 10 Clicks and Mortar stores across the UK.
The small businesses are expected to experience a boost in sales from the year-long pilot through additional brand awareness and a physical presence.
