Hungary’s first packaging-free shop was opened in Budaörs
Hungary’s first packaging-free shop was opened on Wednesday in Budaörs. The Nopack among other things aims to promote conscious purchase, zero-waste and fair trade.
Monostori-Kalovits Márk owner pointed out at the opening ceremony: in Hungary, one person throws out an annual average of 100 kilograms of packaging waste, and produces 200 kilograms of food waste. The team of Nopack aims to change this and therefore they created a shop, “which operate ethically and with responsibility, taking the needs and possibilities of the producers and the buyers into account, and pay attention to the values of society and the environment and protect it” – he added.
