First Tesco retail test lab in India
The 7000 square feet lab is equipped with five store formats, has 27 tills deployed along with a host of peripherals.
Tesco Hindustan Service Centre (HSC), a global services arm
of Tesco, has unveiled Tesco´s first Retail Test Lab in India at their
Bangaluru centre. Retail Test Lab has been established to test and certify all
the retail software and solutions that is developed at Tesco HSC for the stores
in UK and Republic of Ireland. The lab will replicate the entire point-of-sale
testing infrastructure that is currently available in UK for testing and
certifying all the software that goes into an estate of 1500 plus stores in UK
and Republic of Ireland. The first phase will also have Petrol Filling
Stations.
