It also addresses animal welfare indicators and their digital tracking, and the extension of animal welfare requirements to imports. The survey also addresses the ethical issue of killing male day-old chicks. The consultation on the future proposal for a regulation on animal welfare requirements at the place of production is open to everyone. In the interest of transparency, NGOs and businesses participating in the public review are asked to register in the EU Transparency Register.
