The 40th World Economic Forum opened in Davos
The 40th World Economic Forum opened on 27th of January in Davos, which is intended to focus on the creating of a saner world economy, a more responsible international banking system and the prevention from further criseses.
The event focuses on " improving the state of the world: think, plan and build again," and the helping of the earthquake-stricken Haiti is also among the issues.
More than 2500 participants are expected on the event. The number of high-level international participants will be lower, compared to the recent years. Also the U.S. government will modestly represent itself on the five-day event, which will be open by French president Nicolas Sarkozy – reports ProfitLine.hu.
