The KSH has started the agricultural census
The Central Statistical Office (KSH) will carry out its second regularly repeated agricultural census of the year from Monday to December 15, the office announced in a statement sent to MTI.
The purpose of data collection is to provide up-to-date information for domestic and international decision-makers and farmers. The results of the recording help the work of policy makers serving the interests of producers and the foundation of support systems. The census of individual farms will begin in the country’s 354 settlements, with the participation of approximately 21,000 individual farms – informed the KSH. The data provision primarily covers crop production, agrotechnics (for example, irrigation), animal husbandry, the workforce performing agricultural activities, investments and production-related expenses. The response is mandatory for designated farms.
Those concerned can fill out the questionnaire in two ways
The first stage takes place online between November 14 and 25, via www.maja.ksh.hu. Between November 26 and December 15, enumerators with photo IDs will visit all those who did not take advantage of the self-completion option and complete the questionnaire electronically. The KSH uses the information obtained during the census exclusively for statistical purposes, it does not disclose it to other bodies or persons, it guarantees the security of data management in accordance with the legal requirements, and the results are reported in aggregate. After the data collection, the KSH will send the processed results by e-mail to those who request it when filling out the questionnaire – the announcement emphasized.
