The apple harvest has begun
The apple harvest has begun in the orchards and the concentrate maker factories are also operating – the Chairman of the Apple Marketing Board told MTI on Tuesday.
Takács Ferenc, the leader of the Újfehértó-based North-East Hungarian Apples and Other Fruits Interprofessional Organization and Marketing Board said that the harvest of the Gala fruit variety has begun on about 25 thousand hectares of the country. The processing factories, pay a net 24-26 HUF per kilogram for the apples. (MTI)
