The payment of support related to Natura 2000 grasslands has begun
In the first round, nearly 7,000 farmers will receive support worth more than HUF 7.5 billion through the call for tenders entitled “VP4-12.1.1-16 “Compensation payments for Natura 2000 agricultural areas”.

The Hungarian government is committed to promoting the restoration, preservation and improvement of biological diversity, which it intends to achieve with the cooperation of active agricultural producers.
In our country, special land use regulations apply to areas of the Natura network with lawn utilization
Compliance with these means additional costs and, where appropriate, loss of income for farmers. In order to compensate for this, those concerned may apply for normative, area-based, non-refundable support. About 11,000 applications were submitted for the compensation tender last year, of which 7,000 applicants will now receive support in the first round, but the payments will continue. According to the KAP Strategic Plan, it will also be possible to submit a request for support and payment at the same time for uniform applications this year.
