The 44th National Wine Competition has begun, with approximately 2,700 bottles of wine competing
The 44th National Wine Competition, which began on Tuesday, will feature 890 wine samples from 239 wineries, totaling almost 2,700 bottles of wine, the event organizers told MTI on Tuesday.
The most significant competition for Hungarian winemaking was the Kunság, Szekszárd and Villány wine regions, with the majority of entries sent.
Compared to previous events, the event will place greater emphasis on consumer aspects, among which health and environmental awareness, as well as the importance of production sites, have recently gained importance.
They highlighted:
young adults are becoming wine consumers at an increasingly early age, and this signals a trend reversal that could give new impetus to Hungarian wineries.
