The GMO-free foods will be labeled

Those food manufacturers that produce their products from the products of animals that are eating GMO-free feed can indicate this exemption on the foods they produce.

The Ministry of Agriculture prepared the draft regulation on the labeling of the GMO-free food products. On the basis of the regulation, the food manufacturers that produce their products from the products of animals that are eating eating GMO-free feed can indicate this exemption on the foods they produce – Nagy István, Parliamentary Minister of State of the Ministry of Agriculture told Magyar Hírlap. The Minister of State added that the administrative coordination of the draft legislation will take place within days, while it may enter into force in the beginning of 2016 into law.
