In the cover interview, Géza Vincze, who was appointed Managing Director of Auchan Hungary in spring 2025, presents the retail company’s new strategy for the coming years, an integral part of which is that, in addition to hypermarkets, they see expansion opportunities in supermarkets and smaller convenience stores of 70–150 m².
In our Lánchíd Club opinion column, József Rácz, president of the Kert-Ész Klub Hungary Association, shares his thoughts on the international presence of Hungarian horticulture in connection with the Fruit Logistica exhibition in Berlin.
The domestic and international news are followed by our Featured Topic section, which focuses on the snacking market. In addition to representatives of retail chains, manufacturers also speak, and readers can find a more detailed analysis of the world of finger foods, which reflect the needs of our absolutely accelerated world.
In our In the Spotlight section, we deal with the franchise market. In the opening article, representatives of Pek-Snack, SPAR, CBA, Co-op Hungary and Plusmarket, all interested in the Hungarian market, also speak. After that, we provide an overview of the international franchise market, which is currently undergoing enormous global changes.
The topics of our Shelf Mirror section are: chocolate bars, gummy candies, yogurts, as well as the markets of carbonated soft drinks, beer and spirits. These topics are followed by a cosmetic analysis article about facial care products, as well as international beauty care trends. The theme of the section’s supplement is the range of baby and children’s products, covering the most important foods, drinks and vitamins intended for children and babies, and we also dedicate a separate article to the cosmetics and hygiene category, while the diaper market is not left out either.
In our Sustainability section, besides the news, readers can read about the changes in the EU CBAM regulation (the mechanism counterbalancing the carbon intensity of imported goods), and they can learn about the presentation delivered at the January meeting of the Green Section of the Hungarian Marketing Association, held by Hajnalka Kovács-Czövek, country manager of Green Brand Hungary, about EmpCo.
In our Vegan section, besides the news, readers can find a more detailed analysis of the vegan beauty care market.
Our HoReCa supplement is once again opened by the most important news of the industry associations, followed by a detailed report on the Hungarian workshop of Davide Malizia, eight-time world champion pastry chef and gelato maker. After that, we publish about the cocktail and long drink market, and we also deal separately with the category of HoReCa terrace furniture.
