The compensation support for Natura 2000 lawn areas has been published
The first call for tenders for rural development was announced within the framework of the KAP Strategy Plan until 2027. The affected farmers can use compensatory support for Natura 2000 lawn areas, the available, planned amount of which is HUF 36.1 billion, announced Zsolt Feldman, the State Secretary responsible for agriculture and rural development at the Ministry of Agriculture.
The purpose of the call for tenders entitled “Compensation Payments to Natura 2000 Agricultural Lands” (code number KAP-RD23-1-24) published on March 11, 2024 is to compensate producers for additional costs and lost income due to special land use regulations for Natura 2000 grasslands, while encouraging the commitment of farmers to the preservation of biological diversity and the maintenance and restoration of our country’s nature conservation situation. It is possible to submit support – and payment – applications as part of the current year’s unified application, during its open period, according to the rules for submitting unified applications.
