A call for tenders supporting the joining of agricultural producers to the quality system has been published
Between March 1, 2023 and August 31, 2023, agricultural producers can again apply for non-refundable support in connection with joining the European Union and national quality systems. Such a notified, national quality system is the High Quality Food (KMÉ) trademark, so those who join the KMÉ can also apply for the mentioned sources.
Within the framework of the call, the Ministry of Agriculture supports those agricultural producers or their groups who produce their products in accordance with the requirements of the various quality systems, and
– they have participated in the given system for a maximum of 5 years
– or they now wish to join a quality system.
The condition for using the subsidy is that the applicant is entitled to produce the product according to the quality system, and that the product he produces really meets the requirements of the quality system.
In Hungary, the High Quality Food (KMÉ) trademark is the only recognized and notified national quality system in relation to food. On our website, you can see the open product categories for which a KMÉ trademark can be applied for, and which also make the support option announced now available.
About the support:
The purpose of the non-refundable subsidy is to compensate for the additional expenditure arising from the production of products that comply with the national quality system, i.e. higher quality products. The subsidy is an amount equivalent to EUR 1,000 per producer per year in HUF, which can be paid for a maximum of 5 years. The support can cover the costs of entering the quality system (i.e. the KMÉ audit) and the annual contribution related to participation in it (i.e. the KMÉ trademark usage fee), including, if necessary, the expenses spent on inspections to verify compliance with the requirements of the quality system.
