Court rules that Szatmári Malom is entitled to receive European Union funding
Szatmári Malom Kft. won the lawsuit against Hungarian authorities at the Luxembourg-seated European Court of Justice. The milling company wanted to close three existing mills and build a new one with the former mills’ combined capacity in Veszprém-Kádárta, for which it applied for rural development funding. The Hungarian authorities refused their application saying they can only finance the modernisation of existing mills from this type of budget.
