With an extended deadline, until November 15, you can apply for support for the future of local youth and communities in Tesco’s program
In view of the great interest, Tesco has extended the application deadline for its new tender program called “Start for the Future”. The deadline for submitting applications is November 15. The initiative provides HUF 57 million support to local projects focusing primarily on children and young adults under the age of 25.
The department store chain is mainly looking for applications from institutions and organizations that want to improve the learning opportunities of children and young people living in their immediate environment, develop skills and abilities, nurture talents, organize programs and local community events for them, and improve the living conditions of those involved. At the same time, you can apply for other good causes serving the interests of local communities in the program via the website www.tesco.hu/kozosseg.
With an extended deadline, until November 15, you can apply for the financial financing of local projects that have a positive impact on children, adolescents and young people in Tesco’s new “Start for the Future” program. Based on the number of application materials received, the department store chain has experienced a lot of interest, so it provides potential applicants with an extra week so that even more people can get a chance for support.
The aim of the community initiative is to provide funds for institutions and organizations throughout the country that mainly want to improve the living conditions of people under the age of 25 living in their immediate environment, so that the targeted children and young people can start their lives in the best possible conditions. This could be, for example, the construction of a playground, the support of educational or sports activities, or the beautification of public spaces used by young people for leisure activities. Projects of this nature are given priority in the evaluation. At the same time, the opportunity is also open to other good causes, such as applications for animals, the elderly or disadvantaged adults.
“Start for the Future” replaces the department store chain’s successful “You choose, we help” tender program that has been running since 2016, which helped the lives of local communities with more than half a billion forints through the support of nearly 2,200 projects in 346 domestic settlements in 15 rounds. In the new tender program, Tesco increased the grant amount to HUF 57 million, which means an extra HUF 15 million in each round compared to the previous ones.
