Agricultural trade surplus was over three thousand million euros

Horticulture is a strong, stable branch of the Hungarian agriculture. Horticulture gave about one-sixth of the annual agricultural output last year – Fazekas Sándor, Minister of Agriculture said at the press conference of the Year of Horticulture program series.

The total output of the horticultural sector in 2015 was approximately 377 billion HUF, which was 15.4 percent of the total agricultural output.

According to the final analysis of the Agricultural Research Institute, the export value of the agricultural and food products increased by 2.3 percent, their import value by 4.9 percent in 2015, while the balance was 1.7 percent lower than in 2014. (by our colleague)
