He was convincing!
Gábor Kostyál, the chef of Helikon Hotel in Keszthely, won the Bocuse d’Or Selection Hungary. Q: You prepared really well! A: Two years ago I lost by a whisker, so I wanted to make no mistakes this time. With my commis, Péter Molnár we started training in December. Kodolányi College provided us with the equipment and Krúdy Gyula secondary school in Siófok let us use their kitchen. Q: Are you the best Hungarian chef? A: No, I was the best at this contest. I would have really liked to compete with the colleagues at Tradition and Evolution. Q: What do you except from the contest in Geneva? A: I would like to finish in the first 6. Q: Do you expect any help in the months to come? A: At least now I have a place to prepare. I am looking for sponsors – actually I have already found a few.
