Observation zone in Hungary due to the spread of the bluetongue disease
On 23 September, the Romanian veterinary authorities registered bluetongue outbreaks 120 kilometers south from the Hungarian border.
The observation zone set up due to the disease affects certain areas of Békés and Csongrád counties. The epidemic has not yet appeared in Hungary, but the Hungarian health authorities are carrying out laboratory tests and introduced stringent measures in the region of the observation zone.
