Grain prices halved
The supply price of agricultural products was down by 22,6 percent in December 2008, compared to December 2007. The price of plant products was down by 38 percent, while that of animal products and livestock was sup by 1,7 per cent. Production costs rose by 15 percent in the same period. Grain prices were down by 47,6 percent, while that of oily plants was down by 18,8 percent. The price of potato was down by 20,3 percent. The price of apple was down by 65,3 percent. The average price of livestock intended for slaughter was up by 9,7 percent, while the average price of animal products dropped by 10 percent in the same period.
