The German government would reduce the amount of food thrown out by 50 percent
The German government has adopted a strategy to reduce food waste by 50 percent on Wednesday. The 11 million tons a year to be cut by 2030 by 50 percent.
According to the national strategy against food waste, it is possible to reduce waste by combining politics, economy, science and civil society.
Reducing food waste is “an economic, ecological and moral obligation,” Julia Klöckner, Federal Minister for Agriculture, Food and Consumer Protection, pointed out in Berlin. (MTI)
