Coca-Cola’s iconic Christmas truck arrives
The iconic Coca-Cola truck is also rolling into Hungary this year. The tour started in London to travel through several countries to create a festive atmosphere around the world. On December 17, the discerning citizens of the capital were able to admire the illuminated caravan at several points in Budapest. Those who pre-register for the brand’s Christmas event this year can take a closer look at the iconic vehicle and even meet Santa Claus near it.
“The world needs more Santas” – Coca-Cola opened the holiday season worldwide with this slogan again this year, as according to a study conducted in more than 140 countries*, one in four adults worldwide feels lonely.
“Coca-Cola also encourages its consumers through its community activities to pay attention to giving, caring for others and human relationships during this period, in addition to gift-giving”
– says Judit Szalóky Tóth, Director of Corporate Relations, Communications and Sustainability at Coca-Cola Hungary
The Christmas truck arriving from London through several countries is also drawing people’s attention to this. The red caravan decorated with garlands of lights, the iconic symbol of the brand, last visited Hungary in 2018. This year, on December 17, it made a larger circuit in the capital: those with an eye for detail can discover it around the M3 entrance, Hősök tere, Andrássy út, Ferenciek tere and the M7 exit. The truck will not stop at these locations, but it will stop at Budapest Park on December 18. The event, where the caravan can be viewed up close, can be accessed after pre-registration via the Coke App. Colorful family programs await guests, who can even catch a glimpse of Santa Claus near the truck for a photo.
