A Czech hotel was fined for not receiving Russian tourists
A Czech hotel was fined in Ostrava for not receiving Russian tourists. The owner decided to boycott the Russian citizens, after Russia occupied the Crimea peninsula in March.
The owner of the Brioni Boutique hotel, Tomás Krcmar has Ukrainian ancestry. After a storm on social networking sites, Krcmar “eased the rigor,” and received those Russians, who have said that they do not support the annexation of the Crimea. The hotel has lost 10-15 per cent of its guest, since the introduction of the “ban”. In addition the authorities fined the hotel to the maximum of 50 thousand kronor (about 560 thousand HUF) for not receiving Russian tourists.
