SPAR and the Trade Union of Commercial Employees have reached an agreement on wages for 2025
SPAR Hungary Retail Ltd. and the Trade Employees’ Union (KASZ) have agreed on wages for 2025; the company will spend almost 10 billion forints on wage development this year, SPAR told MTI.
The statement quoted Márk Maczelka, SPAR Hungary’s head of communications, as saying that they continued their investment program last year: they opened new stores and spent significant amounts on renovating existing ones. They also reached a milestone by opening the 300th SPAR franchise store in Hungary.
He added that the year 2025 also promises to be challenging: this year they will launch a significant store modernization program and franchise stores will open in new settlements. However, all of this would not be possible and would not be sustainable without their employees. That is why they implemented wage development worth 74.3 billion forints between 2017 and 2024.
Thanks to the salary structure introduced last year at SPAR Hungary, all sales and cashier employees working in the store network will receive a gross monthly bonus of HUF 30,000 as their basic salary from January 1, 2025.
Accordingly, the lowest gross monthly basic salary available to those working in stores is HUF 395,000. In economically significant regions and in stores with outstanding performance, the lowest gross basic salary – in cashier and sales positions – is HUF 465,000.
