Lucart received a maximum score for environmental protection from EcoVadis
For the third year in a row, the Italian paper company Lucart, which has a plant in Nyergesújfalu in Hungary, won the platinum rating from the independent agency EcoVadis. Platinum certification is the most prestigious recognition of corporate social responsibility, which only 1% of the more than 130,000 companies surveyed in around 220 different sectors worldwide can claim.
This is the third time in a row that the independent agency EcoVadis has awarded a platinum rating to Lucart. All this means the highest level of corporate social responsibility, which only 1% of the more than 130,000 surveyed companies in about 220 different sectors worldwide can boast.
The recognized rating system examines a number of sustainability-related features in four themes, such as environmental protection, labor and human rights, ethics and sustainable sourcing. Lucart achieved an excellent score in all areas examined, and even received a maximum score in the area of environmental protection. Overall, it earned 85/100 points, which is higher than 2023.
During the year, the company also joined the Science Based Target Initiative (SBTi) and adopted the AMFORI Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI) Code of Conduct.
