Sicilian guitar virtuoso Matteo Mancuso is the star performer of this year’s, now 32nd, Paks International Gastroblues Festival. From July 1 to 7, the public can hear fifty concerts on five stages.
“The Italian musician is coming to Paks with his trio, where the increasingly popular French rock guitarist Laura Cox will also be coming with her band. Among the Hungarian performers, Omega Testamentum, Dani Szebényi and Mike Gotthard, Ismerős Arcok and Deák Bill Blues will give a concert, among others. band”
– said musician Zsolt Benkő, this year’s host of the festival, at the press conference in Budapest on Thursday.
27-year-old Matteo Mancuso, who plays with a special right-handed finger technique, has gained huge popularity on YouTube with his videos, and is one of the hottest talents on the international blues scene. In addition to blues, he also plays swing, jazz rock, hard rock and country; he has also played together with Al Di Meola, Steve Vai and Joe Bonamassa. The other foreign artist, Laura Cox, was also picked up by the people of the internet and has made three records so far.
