MasterCard: contactless payment is operated in half a million acceptance locations

MasterCard’s PayPass feature was introduced in another eight European countries. In Europe, one can pay with PayPass in 26, in the world in 48 countries at more than 550 thousand accepting points – MasterCard announced.

Since January last year, the number of MasterCard PayPass and Maestro PayPass cards increased by more than 50 percent in Europe. In Poland, every second card is a PayPass card. The number of small value purchasings with MasterCard are growing by 50 percent from year to year.  (tozsdeforum.hu)
