MasterCard: card use increased despite the transaction fee
The transaction fee has not deterred card usage; the share of those who use the debit cards to pay inn shops increased from 81 to 84 percent in a year, but those who use the card only to pick up moneyfell below 10 percent – MasterCard’s survey shows.
According to the survey 94 percent of the city-dwellers have at least one credit card, 10 percent of them have more than one.
During the past year the proportion of card using customers reached the highest level, and at the same time the proportion of card using customers also increased significantly – MasterCard told in its survey sent to MTI on Monday. (MTI)
