Mastercard: biometric authentication can start in 2019
From April 2019, Mastercard will make available biometric, such as face or fingerprint authentication for credit card purchases in many countries around the world, including Hungary – penzcentrum.hu wrote.
The biometric payment technology, Mastercard Identity Check, will be available in 37 countries worldwide next year. The new authentication solution speeds up digital payment processes, improves security and enables seamless payment, reducing the rate of interruption of purchases, the company told MTI.
