The GKI business cycle index cannot rise For the second month in a row
The GKI business cycle index decreased in September after August – within the margin of error. This is due to some deterioration in consumer expectations, as business has stagnated. After the shock-like fall in the outlook for domestic economic participants in April, a significant, more modest positive correction took place in May and June, with the GKI economic index working off half of its fall in April.
In September, business expectations improved slightly in industry and construction compared to August, deteriorating in the commercial and service sectors, but the changes are actually close to stagnation.
