Over the next 4 years Lidl is to invest 1.5 billion euros in Spain
Between 2021 and 2024 Lidl plans to invest EUR 1.5 billion in its Spanish operations. Lidl, which currently has over 17,000 employees across 630 shops and 11 logistics centres in Spain, wants to open more than 150 new stores and 4 logistics centres by 2024. Lidl claims that it created 2,000 jobs in Spain last year and increased its national purchasing by 13 percent to EUR 5.2 billion
