St. Martin Day festivities will be held on Saturday at the Village Museum of Göcsej in Zalaegerszeg: at the whole-day event traditional ensembles will perform, handicraft workshops, work presentations, including defeathering will await the visitors, as well as goose dishes.
According to the traditions, St. Martin's Day is the feast of grain harvest and new wine. After the great feast, the winter works began, but St. Martin's Day was a time for feasts: According to a popular belief who does not eat goose on this day, will starve the whole year – the organizers told at a press conference on Wednesday.
