Martin's Day goose feast will be in Debrecen with wines from Eger
The St. Martin's Day goose feast wiill be held for the seventh time in Debrecen between 6 and 8 November – the organizers told at a press conference on Friday in Debrecen.
Komolay Szabolcs, cultural deputy mayor of Debrecen quoted the folk tradition that “who do not eat goose on St. Martin's Day will starve the whole year.”The participants of the St. Martin's Day in Debrecen do not have to worry about this: at the three-day gastronomic parade a total of 1,500 geese will be served”. – the deputy mayor added.
