Eurozone inflation was at a record high in March
Annual euro area inflation accelerated to a new record high of 7.4 percent in March from 5.9 percent in February, but fell short of the preliminary figure of 7.5 percent released in early April.

Eurozone inflation hits record
The European Union’s statistical office, Eurostat, also reported definitive figures on Thursday that consumer prices rose 2.4 percent in March from 0.9 percent in February. Preliminary data were for a 2.5 percent monthly increase. (MTI)
