The electronic Farming Log for this year will be launched on March 2
The National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih) informs farmers that the 2026 electronic Farming Log (eGN) will be available in the system from March 2. Automatic data inheritance will continue this year, which will significantly facilitate administration for farmers.

Arable crops marked for the following year in the 2025 log will be automatically created as independent production sites in the 2026 log. The system needs a short loading time to transfer the data. It is important that farmers only create fields that were not registered in 2025 and that were newly added to their farm as new production sites! Accordingly, the office still requests the use of manual inheritance for other arable land, grasslands and plantations! The renewed, reduced-data paper-based Farming Diary form for 2026 serves to simplify administration and reduce the burden on farmers: several data sheets have been eliminated, others have been merged in order to reduce the data requirement. The Farming Diary can still be kept on paper or electronically, and the obligation to complete each data sheet depends on the subsidies used by the producer, for which the completion guide provides detailed assistance.
In accordance with the provisions of Regulation 564/2023/EU, which comes into force this year, the data recording of plant protection operations has been expanded with two new data fields
Producers must record the start time of the plant protection operation and the BBCH phenological stage (development status) of the treated crop. Knowledge of BBCH codes is particularly important for plant growers, as the authorisation document for plant protection products typically specifies the optimal time for protection by specifying a specific BBCH code. The two new fields will soon be included in the electronic system, which is currently being developed. The data from the paper-based Farming Diary for 2026 can be recorded in the eGN system by 31 January 2027 at the latest.
