The success of the Gundel Award Gala Luncheon can already be described as a success

The traditional annual gala lunch of the Hungarian Catering Industry Association will be held on Sunday, at which the 2025 Gundel Awards will be presented. The preliminary interest in this year’s event, which will be held at the Gundel Restaurant, has already exceeded all expectations.

The gala dinner provides great entertainment and a serious gastronomic experience every time

– We have been organizing one of the most important festive events in the hospitality industry, the industry association’s gala dinner, for over a decade and a half, combining it with the Gundel award ceremony for the 12th time, but there has never been an example like this: the places were sold out even before the event was officially announced – said László Kovács, president of the MVI.

The gala lunch is traditionally popular among the profession, and many people are always curious about the award ceremony, but the huge interest is certainly also due to the two winners from last year: Attila Bicsár and Lázár Kovács, or more precisely, partly to their food, as the dishes served at the gala lunch are traditionally prepared by the winners from the previous year.
