Hungarian SMEs can now apply for the purchase of occupational safety equipment in all regions
From September 15, SMEs in all regions can apply for tools to strengthen occupational safety, announced Sándor Czomba, State Secretary for Employment Policy at the Ministry of National Economy, in his statement on Monday.
He stressed that the government is committed to supporting the domestic SME sector and improving the working conditions of Hungarian employees.
As of September 1, the application for SMEs was first opened in the Southern Great Plain region, within the framework of the priority project “Development of Working Conditions” with identification number GINOP Plusz 3.2.5-24-2024-00001, to support the purchase of occupational safety equipment, and now applications are being accepted from all regions of the country from Monday.
With the support scheme for the development of occupational safety and health, co-financed by the European Social Fund+ and the Hungarian budget, the government intends to help improve working conditions, reduce the number of accidents and illnesses at work, and protect the health of employees with efficient, modern developments.
In connection with occupational safety developments, enterprises can apply for the purchase of protective equipment, signaling devices, and equipment serving to modernize the workplace environment, the State Secretary of the Ministry of National Education and Science explained.
The minimum amount of support that can be requested – with a 100 percent intensity – is 500 thousand, and the maximum is 20 million forints. The amount of support that can be used per development is a maximum of 1 million forints per employee, while a maximum of 2 million forints per piece of equipment.
