Brewing may have begun in China nine thousand years ago
According to a new Chinese study, brewing began in China nine thousand years ago, a thousand years earlier than previously thought.
Beer drinking was part of the ritual reverence for the dead 9,000 years ago, the phys.org science and education portal reported.
Researchers found evidence of early brewing by analyzing ancient pottery found at a burial site during an excavation in Jiaotou. (MTI)
