The collaboration between PENNY and Ricsi Farkas is already in full swing
PENNY Hungary reached an important milestone in 2024, as their collaboration with chef Richárd Farkas opened up new directions in the intertwining of gastronomy and retail. With his commitment to domestic ingredients, his innovative solutions and his sustainable approach, the specialist fits perfectly with the philosophy of the discount chain “Selected from home”.
Ricsi once again proved his expertise
At PENNY’s most recent event, it provided guests with practical cooking tips, making the company’s philosophy tangible: how to prepare exciting meals accessible to everyone from local ingredients. For the store chain, cooperation with domestic partners is of particular importance, which is also beneficial from a sustainability point of view, and they can also provide customers with high-quality, locally produced food at a budget-friendly price. The company’s goal is to create a supply chain that is short, sustainable and directly supports domestic producers, based on the basic idea of ”farm to shelf”.
“Our first joint event with PENNY was a fantastic experience. The prepared dishes, with the active participation of those present, illustrated the meeting of traditional and modern cuisine in a dignified manner, all made of local ingredients, of course. And for traveling, I also showed some gastro-tricks that the guests can easily use in everyday cooking.”
– said Richárd Farkas, PENNY’s chef.
