JYSK’s Ecseri logistics center already serves six countries
The distribution center of the JYSK store chain in Ecser already serves six countries, the center created with an investment of 200 million euros is the largest such facility in the country, where two fully automated high-rise warehouses of more than 40 meters also operate – the store chain told MTI.
The high-tech base handed over in 2022 will serve the JYSK stores in Bosnia-Herzegovina and Serbia in addition to Hungarian, Croatian, Slovak and Slovenian stores.
400 trucks roll out of the logistics center every week, roughly 130,000 cubic meters of goods are stored in the 143,000 square meter base, which still means only 50 percent utilization.
According to the information, the 143,000 square meter facility – the size of nearly 20 football fields – includes, in addition to high-rise warehouses, goods receiving and issuing ramps, as well as an office building on a 560,000 square meter plot. This makes the Ecseri unit the country’s largest one-space distribution center.
